I’ve just found a publisher, Feardemic! Some of you might know them as the publisher of the console version of the award-winning horror-puzzler DARQ from u/unfoldgames_, not to mention a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bloober Team. There will be other distinguishable characters to interact with and, unlike how it is done in most indie horror games, they will be fully animated in the game engine. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński, the player will have to dig into the psyche of Edward, the flawed and deeply traumatized protagonist of Dark Fracture.

This isn’t just a walking simulator with some jump scares: in the full game, while traveling otherworldly dimensions inspired by artists such as H.R. To the best of my knowledge, it is the first time ever that a video game has been set in such an environment.

Shortly after making that decision, I released a free stand-alone chapter of the game named Dark Fracture: Prologue. Finally, I took a leap of faith and left my job to fully focus on the game – a gamble that paid off. It began as a simple, but passionate student project which I then continued to develop on the side, in addition to my regular full-time job. I’ve been working on Dark Fracture for about two years now. My name is Nissai and I’m the lead designer of Dark Fracture, a psychological horror adventure game in which jump scares are the least concerning occurrences that the players will be facing.
